Mary Lucina Raucheisen passed away peacefully on 28 April, 2019. Mary was born in 1933 in Philadelphia, PA. She was predeceased by her mother, father and brother.

Mary moved to Vienna, VA with her parents and brother in 1938. She graduated from Saint James High School in Falls Church, VA, then went on to attend Saint Mary's School of Nursing in Philadelphia. Mary served her country faithfully as a nurse in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. She continued her service as an oncology nurse at the VA hospital in Washington D.C. until her retirement.

Mary has been a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church (OLGC) in Vienna since 1955. Contributions in her memory may be made to OLGC or to a favorite charity.

  3. As my grandmother’s niece I have many wonderful memories of Mary ♡ she was extremely kind, caring and compassionate ♡ a very strong willed independent intelligent woman with a unique sense of humor ♡ she is missed and her memory will always be cherished ♡ may she RIP
