Ricky Raine Graber Ware, age 61, of Reston, VA passed away on July 18, 2021.

Ricky was born in Arlington, VA on April 19, 1960, son of Charlotte Houtz Graber and the late Frank R. Kemp, and was raised by his adoptive father, the late Robert T. Graber. He is survived by two daughters, Taylor Ware Roman (husband Gregory Roman) and Abigail Ware (husband Michael Ware), and his mother, Charlotte. He is also survived by his brother, Jason Graber, who he grew up with in Vienna, as well as two siblings, their spouses, and numerous aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Ricky graduated from Madison High School in Vienna, VA where he was a varsity athlete and First Team All-Met linebacker. An accomplished businessman, Ricky spent his career in government contracting. He was also a Youth League and high school football coach where he helped lead numerous teams to divisional and regional titles, as well as state championships. In the 1990s, he started “The Ware Fantasy League,” a fantasy football team he ran with his close friends that provided fodder for endless bragging rights and ribbing.

Ricky was an avid consumer of movies, music, and history. He had an infectious sense of humor, an uncanny natural ability to play just about any game or sport, and was a loving and proud father.

A visitation will begin at 10am, followed by a private memorial service at 11am on
