Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I went to Holy Redeemer with Roberta and have very fond memories of her. I remember her to be possibly the smartest student in our class among a few others that like Roberta did great things. I have seen Roberta only a couple times since grade school and maintained some interest in her and the Zmuda family through the marriage of Roberta’s brother to Kathy Knopf. It is so very nice that the family still lives in the old Zmuda house across from HR. I can remember Mrs. Zmuda chasing us around and encouraging us to behave- boy she had a lot of energy much like Roberta. It is with true sorrow that I learn of Roberta’s passing. I wish all of the Zmuda’s and friends the best and hope to connect in the future. With sadness, Jeffrey J Glahn and the Glahn family -Steve, Tim, and Kate (My younger brother Matthew passed a few years back)

  2. To Roberta’s Family and Friends: Please accept my heartfelt condolences as she was such a beautiful person. I had the sincere pleasure of meeting and working with Roberta many years ago, when we were both at First Union. She was a great mentor and became a truly wonderful friend. We kept in touch throughout the years and would get together for our respective Birthday Lunches. Unfortunately, we lost contact just in the past couple of years – exchanging text messages every now and then. I was so shocked and saddened to hear of her passing; I am so very thankful to have known her, she was such an integral part of my life. She will be greatly missed. With love, Ati Suradja-Shuey

  3. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of Roberta’s family and to Tom at this very sad time. Roberta had so much to give and she gave with all her heart. I feel lucky to have had her as a close friend over the years. I know that she was a second matriarch for the Zmudas and that both were lost within a short interval. My heart goes out to you all in this time of loss and mourning. But I’m sure she is with you in spirit.

  4. Roberta was always the nicest girl at HR. Also a good one to sit next to during a test. God Bless you Roberta. Robby Silk

  5. To Roberta’s son and family, I worked with Roberta during her tenure at Sandy Spring Trust. She was a remarkable leader; wonderful boss; and very special person. I profoundly regret that I didn’t have more time to spend with her. I am so sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Janelle Straszheim

  6. Roberta was a senior when I was a freshman at Holy Cross Academy. She was captain of the basketball team and took me under her wing. I remember playing classical piano with her at my house. I looked up to her then and always will. My heart is heavy as she was such a kind and generous friend. Mary Susege Phillips

  7. That warm, beautiful smile shines through in every photo taken! Roberta’s positive attitude brightened so many lives over the years. Memories of our time with her will be a blessing to us all.

  8. Roberta was a kind, thoughtful, and dear friend. I am joyous for her eternal life and pray for your family. Many blessings!
