Trellis Marie Lowrey-Evans

God brought home our precious Trellis Lowrey-Evans on June 12th, 2021. Her transition into heaven was abrupt but blissfully embraced as she was only 58 years young and was in her home.

Trellis is survived by her sisters, Helen and Priscilla, her daughters Mackenzie and Madison, her close friend Daniel Diaz, and many other friends and family members. She was predeceased, by her parents Jack and Shirley Lowrey, brother Richard Lowrey, and her loving grandparents.

She was the brightest blessing from birth as she was born to Jack and Shirley Lowrey on January 20th, 1963. She was a proud graduate of Frankfort High School in Short Gap, WV, class of 1981. She moved to the DC area and later to Orlando, Florida, before settling permanently in northern Virginia. She was married to her beloved Reginald Evans July 10th, 1993, and welcomed her loving daughters Mackenzie and Madison into the world on February 7th, 1996, and July 18th, 1999 respectively. She met Daniel Diaz on September 7th, 2015, and he has been an unforgettable part of her life.

Her two daughters are the pinnacle of her life, but her acts of selflessness cannot be quantified and transcend far beyond this world. She was a wine fanatic and an extremely diligent worker; a natural-born gardener, she was constantly surrounded by beautiful life, but it barely ever touched the surface of the beauty that her soul exuded and poured into her dearest loved ones, or any stranger who would walk up to her wine tasting table. She loved helping others; her favorite saying was “mommy do!”, representative of her desire to do absolutely everything and anything she could to ease the lives of her daughters. She loved comedies, memes, and heartwarming cliche quotes. One of her favorite things to do was listen to country or Stevie Wonder while taking a bubble bath to unwind after her long days and nights at work. She was a regular at La Madeleine, Glory Days Bar & Grill, Cooper’s Hawk Winery, and Red’s Table. She loved the most indulgent foods but almost always ate healthy. She was gifted the ability to make the most basic tasks fun; grocery shopping, doing laundry, doing the dishes, and cooking--almost always simultaneously. She loved traveling and would seize any opportunity for even a little adventure, especially with her daughters later in life. Fun, laughter, and energy were always her love language. She was the most passionate storyteller to the point it was hard to get a word in, but she was always there. She had the most infectious smile and giggle and could shine even on the darkest of days. Her absence makes this Earth dimmer and will be noticed by all who knew her. Her vibrant essence is so deeply missed but can be seen in the face of every flower, sip from a delicately aged bottle of wine, felt by singing and dancing to all her favorite songs, and most of all in the sparkle of her two precious daughters.

Her Celebration of Life is scheduled for June 18, 2021 and all who would like to join are welcome. It will be held at The Lake House, 11450 Baron Cameron Ave., Reston, VA from 6-11p.m.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My heart goes out to her daughters Mackenzie and Madison. My name is Kathy Cummings and I had lived in Virginia for 3 years and that is where I met Trellis. She was such a beautiful person who always had a smile. She can wear a baseball cap and still look gorgeous. Trellis was a kind woman who genuinely loved people. My daughter Summer was a friend of her daughters and she loved her just like her own daughter. Trellis will be missed by all and remembered for her love for her girls and her love for life.

  2. I would like to express my condolences to Trellis’s daughters and to her entire family. I met Trellis during SLHS cheer and we always had a lot of fun during the dinners, games and competitions. She was always smiling. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  3. My association with Trellis, as Director of Kidz Club, is a sweet memoir that I cherish forever. Her aptitude to choose Kidz Club as her carrier speaks volumes of her love and care for kids. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. She was a very compassionate, benevolent, kind-hearted, and go-to person at work, sought after by one and all. I wish and pray – God bless to rest her soul in peace. Also my heart felt condolences to her beloved kids & family. -Usha & family.

  4. Trellis meant the world to me!!! She was always busy but made time for those she loved! She was Amazing. I remember Gold Cup. Coffee. Wine tasting. Late night dinners. She teased me I was old and went to bed to early. When was there for my emotional times and laughing at me and cheering me on all at the same time! I miss her beyond words!!! She was my cheerleader after my broken leg!!! A lot of jokes!!! I miss her beyond words!!!

  5. We will miss sweet Trellis. She was suddenly familiar with her loving personality, and she was so good with our dog, Cookie. Such a wonderful friend.

  6. Trellis always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. She could make a stranger feel like she had known them forever. From the start of our friendship she talked about wanting to be a mom and she knocked that job out of the ball field. Her daughters are amazing and just as beautiful as their momma. She will truly be missed. I know she has her red lipstick on and his lighting up Heaven with that smile! Love you, Trell.

  7. In loving memory of Trellis Marie Lowrey-Evans, I am shocked and saddened to learn of my friend’s passing. Trellis was a beautiful soul and I can’t believe she’s gone. She was a unique individual who was genuine and kind and she will be dearly missed.
