It is with great sadness that the Mohardt and Vasseghi families announce the unexpected passing of their beloved Tyler Steven Mohardt on Monday, April 22, 2019, at the age of 26. Tyler loved sports and played hockey and tennis growing up. He was a graduate of James Madison University. Tyler was a deep thinker and a kind soul.

He is survived by parents Dr. Sheda Vasseghi and Steven Mohardt; stepparents Shahyar Mahabadi and Ela Mohardt; grandparents Louise Mohardt and Madjid & Mehri Vasseghi; sisters Mikaela and Olivia; stepbrother Matthew, his wife Tanya, and their son Miles; stepsister Sara; uncle Neil, his wife Cindy, and their children Nicholas and Carly; aunt Karen and her daughter Annika; aunt Tina; and many dear friends.

Family and friends will gather at a private memorial service to celebrate Tyler’s life on Sunday, May 5, 2019.
