How blessed my sweet sister was to marry the man who would love her with his every breath and give her two incredible sons. The role model and friend you were to my nephews is indescribable and they are a testimony to you. The constant love and generous spirit you gave unconditionally to our family was our gift. Every last one of us lost a piece of our heart when you left us.

Too brief and far to infrequent were my moments with Rod (and Tree). So kind and so easy to see how my sister became and remained dear friends for so long. I will be sad for the encounters that cannot be, but will be delighted to know, that in this world, people with Rod’s goodness will remind me of how a gentle soul is possible.
