Virginia Elizabeth Prosise

Virginia Elizabeth Prosise (nee Jenkins) daughter of Avis Dewey and Irene Belle Jenkins, currently a resident of Front Royal, Va passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the age of 90. Virginia was born and raised in Shenandoah, Va surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains in Page County. In November of 1945 she married the love of her life - Richard Prosise and moved to Fairfax County, Va where she was a wonderful wife, mother and employee until her retirement in the early 80's from the Sun Trust Bank. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, camping or beach vacations with the family, doing crossword puzzles, watching the Olympics and Dancing with the Stars on TV. She also enjoyed sitting on the back porch with her husband, enjoying their flowers, especially the Peonies and the birds in their back yard.

She is survived by her three daughters, Linda and husband Jay Cecca, Dianne and husband, Thomas H. Thompson, Denise Muth and Michael Crockett; three grandsons, Thomas R. Thompson and wife Tara, David Thompson and wife Kristin, Christopher Muth and Megan Kloo, two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kinsley, two step-grandchildren, John Muth, Jr., and Jamie Bennett and their families as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two weeks by her husband of 71 years, Richard L. R. Prosise, her parents, siblings, son-in-law, John Muth, Sr. and several niece and nephew in-laws.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Money & King Funeral Home in Vienna, Va from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The funeral services will begin at 12:30 PM. Interment will immediately follow at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Va. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association (Alz.org) or the American Heart Association (Heart.org).
