CAPT Kent Shepard Webber, USN (Ret.) age 76, of Catharpin, Virginia and formerly of Vienna, Virginia died on May 4, 2016 at Fairfax Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Austin Webber; father of Kristin Webber-Moore (Bill Moore, II), Stephen Webber and Kendra Mokaves (Parames); brother of Patricia Mather; grandfather of Dustin and Jesse Webber-Moore; Peyton and Parken Mokaves and step-grandfather of Billy III, Alex, Grant and Tyler Moore.

I am very shocked to hear of Kent’s passing. He and Margaret were very good friends of my wife Sylvia and I. My wife Sylvia died not too long after Margaret. Kent mentored me in many organizations and in the Navy Reserve which I served with him in several units. My deepest regrets, sympathy, and condolences to his family. I shall miss Kent greatly.

The Military Order of the World Wars has lost an outstanding Companion, one who has contributed greatly and unselfishly. He epitomized the Order’s motto, “It is nobler to serve than to be served” in many ways. He will be truly missed.
Captain Webber was widely known and respected for his life’s work and his particiation in many veteran, hereditary, and charitable organizations. Always a leader seeking the best course of action for whatever problem. Kent was also a good friend and fellow veteran. My condolences to his family and prayers for his soul.
May Kent rest in peace. He served his country and the Sons of the Amercian Revolution as a distinguished leader. May God bless his loving family.
Kent was always the activist, tackling any assignment with enthusiasm and commitment. American Legion Post 46 has lost a valued colleague, friend, and veteran official. Rest in peace, Kent.

Kent always gave me the impression of selflessness. He did his job as Treasurer of the CHESC reliably and without complaint. My condolences to his family. He was a true patriot.
Kent was always a good friend, neighbor, and colleague. His humor, history, stories, and calling are things I will cherish!
God bless Kent and all those who mourn his passing. I last saw him at Bob Disney’s funeral and we had a chance to chat. Seemed he never changed. Always remember that gleam in his eyes and a knowing smile. Kent was a good man and loyal member of the Knights Templar Priory of Saint King Charles the Martyr. I pray those that mourn will be warmed by fond memories.
