Brian Christopher Berry

April 2, 1976 ~ December 4, 2015
Brian Christopher Berry of Vienna, Virginia died at his home on Friday Dec. 4 from cancer.
Brian was born on April 2, 1976 in Fairfax Virginia, to Jerry and Vickie Berry. After graduation from the University of Virginia in 1998, he received his law degree from UVA in 2003. He subsequently joined the law firm of Hogan & Hartson, where he worked until 2008, when he joined the Department of Defense Education Activity, where he continued until his death.
Brian's great loves in life were God, his family and the community in which he lived. While we mourn his passing, we are grateful for how well Brian loved us. His gentleness, humor and humility drew others to him as he quietly walked alongside and encouraged all those who entered his life.
Brian is survived by his wife Holly Petty Berry, son Patrick, daughters Katie and Caroline, his parents, brothers Timothy Berry of Richmond Virginia, Terence Berry of Vienna, Virginia, and sister Colleen Roper of Nashville, Tennessee.
The family will receive visitors at Money & King Funeral Home in Vienna, VA on Tuesday, December 8th from 5-8 pm. A private internment will take place on Wednesday, December 9th prior to the memorial service at Truro Anglican Church in Fairfax, Va. at 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations should to be sent to Young Life or the Anglican Relief and Development Fund.

My deepest sympathy to Brian’s wife and children, parents and siblings. I remember him mostly during his high school days with my son Colin, and the Young Life group. Rest his soul, he will be missed.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Please accept our sincere condolences on your loss.
Vickie – I wanted to convey our deepest sympathies for you and your family from all of the volunteers and the Auxiliary at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. You are in our prayers. Sandra Baron, Volunteer Service Manager IFOH
Jerry & Vickie, My deepest condolances for your loss. There is nothing more devastating than losing a loved one. Having lost Judye six months ago, I know the pain you are experiencing. Praise God that we know our loved ones are with him experiencing the joy we have been promised as disciples of Christ. May Brian rest in peace with our Savior.
To the wonderful Berry family, this was a beautiful memorial service for Brian’s wemoriies and life. Thank you for all you’ve done for each of us there. This is sad and difficult, but we have Brian’s memories and all of you with us still. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, Randy and Cindy Latimer
Holly, I have such fond memories of you and Brian when you first started dating after meeting through Young Life! You two were so cute, we used to talk about this ‘Brian character’ for hours haha. Together you created an amazing life and I know you will continue to ‘see’ Brian in your three beautiful kids over the years. I will be praying for you all during this transition. God Bless the Berry and Petty families as you mourn an amazing guy. Hugs from Charlotte
