My deepest sympathy to Burts family and friends.
Burt, my friend, my brother. You’ve been important to me for many years, I’ll still tell your story to those who need it. God bless.
We’ll miss ya
He made a contribution to the betterment of others’ lives — the type of contribution that lives on long after one passes. Burt, thanks.
To Burt’s parents who helped and loved him so much, I am so sorry for your loss. Both of you gave him so much support and love. Burt was always wonderful to me and I cared about him alot. It was hard to see him suffering. We will all miss him very much.
Thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Dearest Burt. He was such a dear underneath all that rough exterior. He could bluster with the best of them but when it came down to helping one of his own, he was always there. Burt went to great lengths to help many people, and inspired me to try to do the same. He ministered to the sick and mentally ill at Northern VA Mental Health Center, taking meetings to those who were institutionalized–a service that few others were courageous enough to do. He was a good man in the end and I am sure he is with the Angels now.
Burt was an inspiration to me in early sobriety. He was the one example that stood out so far from the “others” in AA. I saw him come to meetings on days that he should have been resting because of the dialysis. But he persevered. After seeing him do this, I will never again complain about being “too tired” to go to a meeting or to help a friend in need. Burt will be sorely missed. What a solid man.
I will miss our Friend Burt. What memories I have. He truly was a Character. Until we meet again Brother stay safe with our Father in Heaven.
My deepest sympathy and prayers go to Burt’s Family and friends. The fellowship has lost a good friend.
Burt, Thanks for your contribution to the fellowship. Peace brother. .
