Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints. One of the most precious gifts God has given us is the ability to remember. Good memories become a treasure chest of priceless reminders of friendships shared. God gives us cherished memories. Cling to them when sorrows come. I spent many hours visiting and listening to my client Doug Hodge. I am not sure I have ever know anyone so strong headed and yet a compassionate person by nature. Doug was good-hearted and generous to his family and friends. He deeply loved his son Rich and his adorable grandsons Lian and Shane. Doug often told me his beloved wife Margarita was a saint and an angel. He missed her dearly and I pray they will have a heavenly reunion. Where is the heart that does not keep, within its inmost store some fond remembrance hidden deep, Of days that are no more? I just wished the Redskins could have had a winning season for you Doug. You will be missed my dear friend.

  2. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Rich and the boys. Parting on this earth is so difficult, but our hope is of an eternal reunion in heaven and we look forward to that day. May the Lord be your shepherd. May the Lord comfort you through this time of lose, with love, the Staubs

  3. Just to let you know you are being thought about……(you might no know this but I think that David & Donna Wholscheid ….. long time friends…David & Al & about 6/7 others were in business together about the time you were born)….take care of yourself……Big Hugs…..Mema

  4. Dear Hodge Family: I read in the newspaper that you lost a loved one in death. The Bible encourages us to: “Throw your burden upon Jehovah himself, and he himself will sustain. Never will he allow the righteous one to totter.” (Psalms 52:22) Remember God can equip us with power beyond what is normal to go from one day to the next.

  5. Our thoughts go out to you, Coach Hodge. We can only imagine what a trying time this is for you, and we wish you peace and comfort. The Leatons (Tom, Jan, Ken, and Drew)

  6. Dear Rich, All of the Barton’s send our condolences to you and your family. Your father was a fine man and we’ll always be remembered for his kindness and love of his family. We will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

  7. Sorry to hear about Doug. I didn’t know him that well but he and Margarite made a great pair. Sorry to see both of them gone. But now, they are together again. Love, Virginia
