Elaine Patricia Babcock, age 67, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at her home in McLean, Va., daughter of Ruth Doll; sister of David, Gary and Ed Doll. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grandnieces. Elaine and my mom met in gradeschool. Now they meet again in a new life with the Lord. And knowing these two they are drinking wine right next to Ruth flying around her with their golden wings. These friends were kindred spirits and I desparately miss them.
I am so sorry about Elaine. My little sister and Tracy went to visit Elaine with Janice when they were young. I know how special Elaine was to Janice and Tracy. I hate to hear of her death, I like to think she and Janice are smiling down on us right now. Much love to her family and Momma.
Elaine and I were friends since college days. I was busy raising a family and she was busy with her important job on the East Coast, but we stayed in touch for many years. I was so sad to hear of her death…she was too young and full of life. She will always be in my prayers and in my heart.
