John Joseph Zarou
January 28, 1947 ~ September 10, 2016
John Zarou, of Herndon, Virginia, passed from this earth on September 9, 2016. Beloved partner of Mary Thibault; he was preceded in death by his sister, Taghreed "Tarri" Zarou Fawal, and he is survived by his brother Moneer Zarou and his nieces and nephews David Fawal (Mona), Richard Fawal (Karen), Dunia Ritchey (Christopher) and Nick Fawal (Claire), as well as their sixteen children. John loved to play tennis, and was a dedicated fan of the University of Maryland's basketball team and the Washington Redskins. Most of all, John loved making everyone else happier with his wonderful sense of humor and his infectious smile. May his memory be eternal.

To John: We walked a path together as close friends for several years, until life took us in different directions. I’ve never forgotten your warm smile and keen sense of humor. You were one of the most generous people I’ve known, especially with helping others with their problems. You will be missed, dear friend. Frank and I will be in Canada when your service takes place, but we will be thinking of you. You made many people smile and feel happy, just knowing you. Rest in peace, dear John.
