Linda R. Meehan

October 8, 1946 ~ June 2, 2017
Linda Meehan (Age 70)
Linda Meehan passed away quietly at home on Friday, June 2, at her home in Vienna, Virginia, after a decades-long battle with cancer. Her loving and faithful husband of 47 years, Robert Meehan, was at her side.
Linda was born in Turtle Creek, PA, and was a graduate of Westinghouse Memorial High School and Presbyterian School of Nursing, in Western Pennsylvania.
Linda is survived by her brother Stephen Ruschak. She was a loving and generous aunt to her nieces Laura and Bridget Ruschak.
Linda and Bob's long service for the U.S. Government in the CIA, for 19 years in Lin's case, provided them with an opportunity to see the world, and they have lived in many places, including Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, as well as Michigan, Kansas, and Virginia in the U.S.A. Linda was present through some tumultuous time stationed abroad. Lin was always calmest when the local situation was deteriorating. She was a beacon to Bob and co-workers alike.
They have also loved and cared for a long line of rescue dogs.
Friends and relatives will be received at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 West Maple Av. Vienna, VA, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wed., June 7, with a short memorial service to follow. Burial will be at a later date.
In lieu, a donation may be made in Linda's name to the Homeless Animal Rescue League, 3541 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, VA, 22030.
