Stephen Baumgarten

Stephen Baumgarten, a McLean resident for 65 years, died on June 17, 2015 at Sunrise of McLean. On September 3, 1950, he married his beloved wife, Carolin McCall Baumgarten. He was the loving father of Karen Woods (John), Brian Baumgarten (Kara), Elizabeth Baumgarten and Jeanne Kaplan (Robert). He is also survived by six grandchildren. Mr. Baumgarten graduated from Cornell University before serving with the U. S. Navy during World War II. After the war he attended George Washington Law School graduating on November 11, 1949. He went on to a successful professional career serving as president of Dalmo Appliance Store and Evans Distributors and Jewelers.
