Anne Morton Gregory Vandemark, 88, of McLean, VA, passed peacefully on August 20, 2019. She is survived by her only child Claiborne B “Chip” Morton, III (Stacey), husband Robert Goodyear Vandemark, grandchildren Claiborne Charles Morton and Lauren Elizabeth Morton and great-grandson Michael Jaden Morton whom she loved dearly. An active member of the McLean community, Anne proudly served for 30 years as a teacher at Langley High School. Visitation will be held Friday, August 23, 6:00 – 8:00 pm, at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 Maple Ave W, Vienna, VA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 24, 11:00 am, at McLean Presbyterian Church, 1020 Balls Hill Rd, McLean, VA. Donations may be made to Langley High School, 6520 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA 22101.

    • I was so saddened to hear of Mrs. Mortons passing. I will always remember her with great fondness! Her typing class gave so many of us a skill to use for a lifetime and she did it all with that sweet southern accent making us laugh and learn!   3. Anne was a winter resident CBS friend for 20 years. I came to appreciate her very much as we learned & shared insights from the CBS Bible studies we did together during her winters in Sarasota, Florida. Anne was a very classy lady in appearance & personality. I pray for her family as they grieve their loss as well as all who knew her.   10. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Anne at Langley HS in the 1980’s. What a warm, caring person she was. Always gracious and professional to all she came in contact with. Anne was loved by students and staff alike. When talking about her husband and son, she just lit up — they were her world.   11. So sorry to hear of Anne passing, she was my 2nd cousin and my mother’s (Doris Willis Pierce) favorite cousin… They remained close until my mother passed in July 2015.
