January 21st, 1960 – January 11th, 2020

Bart passed away peacefully at his home in Clifton, Va. on Saturday the 11th. He was born in State College, Pa and grew up in Vienna, Va. He graduated from Madison High school in 1979. He worked as a financial coordinator for a doctor’s office. Bart also worked at the Bowl America in Fairfax and Chantilly for over 30 years.

Bart was an avid bowler and bowled some 300 games. He bowled in several leagues and coached youth bowling for many years. Bart enjoyed family, friends and buying new cars! He loved to dog sit for his friends.

Bart was predeceased in death by his father Bart Cannon in December of 2018. Bart is survived by his mother Carolyn Cannon of Edgewater, Md., and his brother William (Judy) Cannon also of Edgewater. He is survived by his niece Lindsay (Chris) Nicolo and their son Anthony of Millersville, Md. nephew Taylor Cannon of Edgewater, Md. and his niece 1st LT Abigail Cannon from Ft. Sam Houston, Texas.

A visitation will be held at Money and King Funeral Home in Vienna, Va. on Saturday January 18, 2020 from 2 – 3pm with a service immediately following at 3 pm.

The family suggests that those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy consider a memorial contribution to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation):

  1. I worked with Bart at BA Fairfax . I also bowled with Bart at Fairfax and Chantilly. I knew him for 35 + years, he was a really great and helpful friend. I will miss him. My prayers and condolences to his family.

  2. I had the pleasure of working with Bart for 5 years. He was one of the most caring people I have ever met. He always went above and beyond to make sure people (especially the kids) had a fun time. I will miss you my friend.

  3. I knew Bart for 20+ years. He served as a groomsman in my first wedding. He was one of my dear dear friends. We bowled together for many years at Bowl America Falls Church. Over the years, he joined me and my family for various events, parties, dinners, vacation getaways, and was always ready to eat crabbies with me! I will miss him very much… Rest In Paradise Bart where you will never have to check your sugar again. Love you man….

  4. Bart was such a good person. I have so many memories of spending time with him and his family. Many 4th of July parties and Christmas Eve parties. My heartfelt condolences to his Mom Carolyn and his brother Billy and to the rest of the family. Sadly last time I saw Bart was at his Father’s viewing a short 13 months ago. May they both Rest in Peace. Bart you were very loved.

  5. I haven’t seen Bart for many years but he was such a good person and all around great guy. I’m sorry to hear of his passing and I’m sorry for the loss for all of his family and many friends.

Such a nice man who could really be counted on for all problems and obstacles the insurance companies could throw your way. I was so lucky to get to know Bart and receive his light in my life. I will miss that smile as I walk through the door of Bowl America, or the kind words you always had not just for me, but everyone that crossed your path. I’m truly blessed to have known you.   10. To Bart’s family – the memorial service today was so beautiful. Thank you for including Bart’s extended family. Bart truly was loved by all who got to know him. Though many us of were there today, please know that there were MANY many more that couldn’t make it. Rest easy, dear Bart. We will miss you.

Im sure he and the rest of the Bowl America staff that have passed on have already started building their own alley in Heaven. Bart you were loved by all. RIP my friend.
