Betty Lou Mocarski
August 13, 1930 ~ June 5, 2022
Betty L. (Armour) Mocarski (Age 91) died on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at her home in Falls Church, VA. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Mary Beth House, and son, William Mocarski, and a loving grandmother to Michael (Morgan) House, Thomas House and Kevin House. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent Mocarski, her sister, Shirley Buza (Stanley) and brother, James Hubbard (Mary Lou). She also dearly loved her nieces Dorothy Buza Gill, Debra Buza Miller and her nephew Richard Buza (Diane) as well as her grand nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Betty and Vince married in Conneaut Lake, PA in 1955 and shortly thereafter moved to Akron, OH and then eventually on to Upside Court in Falls Church, VA in 1962 where they were known for throwing many neighborhood block parties. Her husband started his own law practice in Falls Church in 1965 where Betty could be found many days answering the phone and doing anything else that was needed. After her husband’s sudden death in 1981 Betty returned full-time to the work force and was able to ensure that both of her children received a college education. She retired in 1995 and remained in the same house on Upside Court until she died.
Betty especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed every game, performance, graduation, birthday party as well as many family vacations. It was also very important to Betty to stay close to the large circle of friends she had from school, church, the neighborhood and work and in fact she remained in close contact with several friends from Conneaut Lake – friendships that lasted well over 80 + years.
Family and friends may gather at MONEY AND KING FUNERAL HOME in Vienna, VA on Sunday, June 12 from 2pm – 5pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Falls Church, VA on Monday, June 13 at 10:00am. Burial will take place at a later date in Linesville, PA.

Family and friends may gather at MONEY AND KING FUNERAL HOME in Vienna, VA on Sunday, June 12 from 2pm – 5pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Falls Church, VA on Monday, June 13 at 10:00am. Burial will take place at a later date in Linesville, PA.
