Carole Ann Dziak

Carole Ann Dziak, 81, of Great Falls, Virginia, passed away on May 14, 2023, after a lengthy battle with several illnesses.
Carole was born on March 13, 1942 to Ralph and Mildred Famiglietti of Jersey City, New Jersey. After graduating from St. Dominic’s High School in 1959, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in literature and history from The College of Mt. St. Vincent in Riverdale, New York in 1963. Upon graduation, Carole worked as a school teacher in Madison Township, N.J.
Carole met her husband John J. Dziak in 1961 and they wed in 1963. Their child, John J. Dziak Jr., was born in 1964. Two years later the Dziak family moved to Virginia where her husband began a long career in US Intelligence.
Carole dedicated her life to her husband and son. She also pursued a long-term career in business and finance, when not substitute teaching. Amongst her many pursuits were her roles as Special Assistant to the CFO and CEO of Atlantic Research Corporation in Northern Virginia; and Chief Financial Officer of her and her husband’s Defense security consulting firm.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Ralph A. Famiglietti and her brother Ralph B. Famiglietti.
Carole is survived by her husband John Sr., her son John Jr., his wife Christine, and grandsons Michael, Christopher, and Marc.
Funeral services include a viewing at Money & King Funeral Home, 171 Maple Ave W, Vienna, VA, 22180, on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 2 to 4 PM; and Mass of Christian Burial, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1020 Springvale Rd., Great Falls, VA 22060, on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 10 AM.
Donations in Carole’s memory are recommended for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

My deepest condolences on the passing of your wife/mother. I did not know Carole, but I was a student of John, Sr., and he recommended me for a position with the agency that he was affiliated with at the time. I did receive a position and served with that agency for 35 years. I remember John with great appreciation and respect. Having lost my wife, I know something of what he and his family are going though. I am so sorry for your loss.
