David L. Bamford, formerly of Boonton, New Jersey passed away at Manor Care of Arlington on January 1, 2021 at the age of 93.
He leaves behind children Gail Bamford (Rance) of Vienna, Virginia, JoAnn Martin (Jay) of Powell, Ohio, Bruce Bamford (Kimberly) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Julie Vidovich (Jay) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as well numerous beloved nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His wife Eleanor (Laurinatis) and son David and daughter Ellen preceded him in death.
Dave grew up in Verona, New Jersey and served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Dave was in the lumber business for nearly 50 years. When he retired he enjoyed playing golf and hanging out with his friends and working out at the YMCA.
He was a long-time member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Boonton and St. John’s Masonic Lodge.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church or a charity of your choice.
