Following the end of the war, she remained in DC and dated a handsome returning veteran, Leo Joseph Eiden, also from Scranton.

Eventually, they married on July 10, 1948. Three children (Leo, Craig and Mary Beth) followed while living in Washington, DC and a fourth (John) after their move to Vienna, VA. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo, who passed away in 1987.

She is also survived by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Fedele) of Wappinger Falls, NY, a beloved niece/daughter, Anne Schieber of Alexandria, VA and their respective husbands, Christopher Fedele and James Lindemuth.
