Ernesto Santiago Barron

Ernesto commonly called Ernie was born on August 9, 1932 and grew up in the Philippines, province of Cavite. He was married to Agapita “Lita Rio” Dominguez Barron who passed away in August 28, 2018. He is survived by his children, J. Ernesto “Boy” & Soraya Victoria, Theresa “Tulip” & Jonathan Santamaria, and Maria Paris & Vitaliy Mogilevskiy. His grandsons Paolo Santamaria and Dominik Barron. He joined the United States Navy, served in the Korean War, worked in various restaurants & hotels from being a cook to a sou chef, and lastly worked in an office environment under AOL prior to his retirement. With Agapita, they lived in Manila, Philippines, moved to Houston Texas, Orlando Florida, settled and retired in Fairfax Virginia.

Since 2017, Ernie and Lita’s spent their remaining lives with Tulip & Jonathan in Vienna Virginia.

A funeral service with military honors will be held graveside at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, August 9, 2021, at 9:00 am. Guests are asked to arrive 45 minutes early (8:15 am) and to show ID (such as a driver's license) when entering the cemetery.
