Florence Helen Linskey
October 8, 1928 ~ October 25, 2018
Florence Helen Linskey passed away peacefully on October 25, 2018 at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown, PA. Florence was born on October 8, 1928 in West New York, NJ to Charles and Florence Schifflin. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John in 1998, loving daughter, Mary Elizabeth Linskey in 2000 and her precious great grandson, Robert Livingston Johnson V (Quint) in 2014 as well as her two brothers, Charles Schifflin and Arthur Schifflin.
Florence and her husband raised their growing family in Valley Stream, NY and later moved to Smithtown, NY. She was active as a Cub Scout leader, Girl Scout leader and in the PTA. In later years, she enjoyed extensive worldwide travel with her husband and visiting her family.
Florence is survived by her children, John and Beverley Linskey of Houston, TX, Stephen and Dianne Linskey of West Chester, PA, Matthew and Brenda Linskey of Marietta, Ga, Peter and Denise Linskey of Newtown, PA, Joan and Kevin Doherty of Bluffton, SC , Andrew Linskey of Leesburg, VA. and Florence Hartman of Arnold, MD.
Nothing gave Florence more joy than her 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who survive her. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as her two sisters, Constance Blum of Sarasota, Fl and Cecilia Malgraf and her husband Gerald, of Venice, FL.
Calling hours 5 to 7 pm, Friday, November 2nd at Money & King Funeral home, 171 Maple Ave West, Vienna, VA. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 21370 St. Theresa Lane, Ashburn, VA. on Saturday, November 3rd at 11:00a.m. Burial immediately following the funeral at Columbia Gardens, 3411 Arlington Blvd., Arlington, VA.
