  1. my sincerce condolences to the Aanstoos family. Your mother was a wonderful lady & a fantstic mother. I always admired her & your father for rasing 8 sucessful & smart children. The closeness & the way you were raised was so AMAZING. i learned from her son larry how a family should be, & tried to teach my children as well. The few ocassions that i had to be at family events will forever be cherrished memories in my heart, as well as my kids. The loss of a mom is the hardest thing i have ever known in my life,as i have recently lost my mother as well.Although the last few months were the most difficult,to watch them slip away, knowing that you were there for her should be of some comfort. The best thing is NOTHING OR NO ONE, can ever take what is in each & everyone of your hearts for now & forever. My deepest smypathy & condolences for you all……God bless…. with all our love … THE STRAWSER FAMILY

  2. Ed and Marie Ferris were great friends in Maryland of your Mother and Father. Marie just passed away at age 97 on 7 Dec 2009 in San Antonio. Our Father Ed still lives in San Antonio, and is doing “OK” at age 97. All the Ferris sons and family share your sorrow in the loss of your Mom. My Uncle Joe McCoy (Marie’s brother, of Potomac, MD) passed along the news with a copy of the obit. Sincerely, Mike, Pat, Dan and Tim Ferris – and Dad – Ed.

  3. Toni and Cousins, I just want you to know, that my most heartfelt wishes and prayers are with Aunt Fran and all of you. She and our Uncle Matt were the consumate Catholics, and really very smart, cool, vibrant and engaging people. And they were beautiful for each other, just as Uncle Matt’s brother Ted was for our Mom. I think we all benefitted from their time-honored family love and bond. I will always treasure the pleasant memories of Aunt Fran and Uncle Matt over the years, most recently in Wiliamsburg at the awesome “Aanstoos Family Reunion” where we all had a glorious long 4th of July Family weekend together! I will always remember them both in particular for that, and I will rejoice knowing they are sharing their beauty and love still and always in Heaven. I cannot think about Aunt Fran without thinking about Uncle Matt together, please forgive me for that. Love and God bless Aunt Fran, and comfort you all, Cousin Jimmy Aanstoos

  4. Larry,we just learned of your Mom’s passing. Love to you and Belen. Frankie,Beverly,Tommy,Cindy,Phillip Karen,Brandy&Krystle

  5. I’ll bet Aunt Fran has already made her first sale in Heaven! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  6. Dear Aanstoos Family, We share your loss of Fran’s passing, as we have just experienced the same with our Mom, Marie Ferris, on December 7, 2009. It’s so very hard to lose your loving Mom. For over 60 years Matt and Fran have held a very close place in our hearts, and they are both very much missed. We will keep them, and your family in our prayers. Mike and Betty Anne Ferris

  7. Dear Aanstoos Family. We were so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mother this week. We were fortunate to have the chance to meet her several years ago while we were travelling through Vienna. She was a wonderful person, and she will be missed by everyone. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. Best Wishes, Henry, Emily, Henry, Hanna, & Maggie Glasheen

  8. Dear Aanstoos cousins, Our thoughts and love are with you as you mourn the passing of your mother and celebrate her life. It was a blessing that Larry and Belen were able to care for her in her home at the end. A home full of so many memories of her life with all of you.

  9. My thoughts and prayers are with the Aanstoos family. I work with Mrs. Aanstoos son, Tom. Although I never personally met or knew Mrs. Aanstoos, in knowing Tom, I can only envision that she must have been a very special lady. My understanding is that Mrs. Aanstoos led a long and fulfilling life. Although many efforts will forever remain unsaid in the interests of national security, I believe she would be particularly proud of the contributions made by her son in support of our nations defense, and of the legacy that she leaves behind.

  10. We were saddened to hear about the loss of your mother. She was one of those truly gracious individuals who was so pleasant to be around. Although we haven’t seen you since moving from Lakevale, we have fond memories of those wonderful days we were neighbors. You & your family are much in our thoughts today. Dorothy & Herbert Legan January 13, 2010 Gainesville, Virginia

  14. Dear Annstoos Family. I send you deepest sympathy. I was a member of Fran’s real estate family at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Fran was such a delightful, intelligent and compassionate person and it was always a pleasure to be around her.
