Jane Albritton Miller, 87, a resident of Falls Church, Virginia, and native of McMinnville, Tennessee, was born October 11, 1932, and passed away suddenly and peacefully at Fairfax Hospital in Virginia, on October 18, 2019, after a brief hospitalization.

A gifted pianist and organist, she performed at numerous weddings, funerals and other occasions at First Baptist Church in McMinnville, Tennessee, while a high school and college student. She graduated from Central High School in McMinnville as class valedictorian in 1950. At Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, her extra-curricular activities included Chi Omega Sorority, Student Council, Baptist Student Union Council, Allegro Club and Who's Who in American colleges and universities. She went on to graduate from Union University with a degree in organ and music. Jane was an elementary school music teacher in Connecticut while earning her master's degree in music education from the University of Connecticut. Upon moving to Falls Church, Virginia, she resumed her career and after many years, retired from Fairfax County Public Schools.

A devoted member of Columbia Baptist Church in Falls Church, Virginia, since 1972, she faithfully served with the church's music ministry, vacation bible school and other education programs, giving generously of her time and talent.

She was daughter of the late Dr. O. M. Albritton and Mary McGill Albritton of McMinnville, Tennessee.

Her survivors include sisters Ann Smotherman of Estill Springs, Tennessee, and Mary Albritton of McMinnville, Tennessee; her children Susan (Blaine) Foote of Nashville, Tennessee, Emily Lofton of Vienna, Virginia, and David Miller of Reston, Virginia. Her other survivors are granddaughters Sara (Wes) Waggoner of Franklin, Tennessee, and Heather Libby (Larry Gill) of Lebanon, Tennessee; grandsons Keenan (Jennifer) Lofton of Vienna, Virginia, and Corey Lofton of Denver, Colorado; and great granddaughters Lyla Waggoner and Libby Gill.

Visitation is from 10:00 am to noon on Saturday, October 26th, at Money and King Funeral Home in Vienna, followed by private burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Falls Church, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Jane Miller to Columbia Baptist Church, Falls Church, VA.
