  1. Joe was always so welcoming and generous when we visited Greg, Kristin and family on our trips to the States. A great man and a sad loss to the family. Condolences to Carol, Kristin, Greg, Tricia, Sean, Mike and the grandchildren. Also the wider family members. So sorry we can’t travel to be with you all.

  2. Randi and I are shocked and saddened by Joe’s passing. He was a gentleman to the fullest. We will miss him very much. Safety Fast, Joe!

  3. For all of you, my heart is breaking! The world was a better place because Joe was in it! Rest well good and faithful servant! God is with you ?

  4. If you were making a movie and needed a person in mind to shape your character of the ‘Best American Dad’ it would hands down be Joe Dowley! I am so sad by this news and am sending the warmest of condolences (and a really big hug) to Carol, Tricia, Kristin and Mike and his entire brood.

  5. I knew Joe from our shared enjoyment in MG cars. To speak of his MGB and relate that to his life path would seem trite-and yet it was an elegant artful-masterful expression of moving sculpture-fantastic engineering and thought went into its creation and sharing -as his life was also-thoughtful, kind and at peace. Kevin Kearney, Cabin John

  6. We are so very sorry to hear of the unexpected passing of Joe. He was such a smart, funny, and most importantly caring man. We are fortunate to have been able to spend time with him over the years at Christmas parties, weddings, and times down in Juno. He will be sorely missed. We will keep him, Carol, Kristen, Mike, Tricia, spouses and grandkids all in our prayers during this difficult time. Love, Mike and Meghan Warin.

  7. Joe was a friend from House days and a wonderful acquaintance as MG club president. I share your sorrow and honor his name and memory. Charlie Johnson
