  3. I am truly saddened by this news! I had the pleasure of working with Karen at KLS STUDIOS for 2 years, and she was always so very kind to me! I would enjoy our conversations while while working with her. She was always so willing to help out in any way that she could, or just be there at the right time to give an encouraging word when needed. Karen was/is such a beautiful spirit inside and out. My deepest, and most sincere condolences to her family, friends, and anyone that had the honor of knowing her, or being in her presence.

  4. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hawk/Grimm families during this most difficult time. Peace be with you ?

  5. My deepest sympathy to your family. I attended college with Karen. Her inner beauty was matched with outer beauty. My heart and prayers are with you

  6. Karen was a wonderful mother and a very caring friend. When my mom passed away, Karen came to our home unexpectedly to give me a small guardian angel…to remind me that mom would always be there taking care of our family. Karen did not know my mom personally, but she cared about me and our family and wanted to be there for us. RIP Karen…truly a wonderful friend. Dave Morgan

  7. Aunt Karen was elegant, loving, and had such a warm personality. She was a huge influence on me growing up, and her light will always shine bright in my heart. I Love You Aunt Karen!

  8. Dylan- surrounding you and your family in my thoughts and prayers during this impossibly difficult time. Sending love to you all.

  9. You brought light to my life. You made me feel like I mattered when others made me feel like I didn’t. I will miss your laugh very much.

  10. We are so sorry for your loss. I know this is a very hard time for all of you but remember that she will always be watching over you. Love you guys!

  11. My condolences to the Grimm family. I was a majorette with Karen in high school… go North Hills Indians76. She referred to me as cheese whiz because that is what I ate during band camp….so many memories…45 years later. She was a beautiful person back then….. I am so saddened by this news. Beautiful life…. beautiful family…. may you Rest In Peace.

  12. I’m saddened by the loss of the bright light Karen shared during her short life. We were majorettes together for North Hill High School and shared many laughs during those years. I pray for peace for her family and friends. Gone too soon.

  13. My name is Dan Schaefer and I graduated with Karen from North Hills in 1976. Remember both of us in the marching band and she was the pretty, smiley majorette. We would re-connect at our high school re-unions – laugh, dance a little and talk. Everyone liked being around her…I just found out about Karen passing when I went to our 46th re-union at Rivers Casino on 7/22/22. I was hoping to see her but as I was looking at the memorial posts of classmates, there was here picture. Really caught me off guard. Regret is a tough thing…should have reached out a long time ago to get together to talk again. She was one of those few that come along once in life time. A big hug to Karen’s family/her little sister and her close friends from North Hills. I’ll save her a seat next to me at our next re-union. With deepest condolences…
