Kristin Wells Smith, age 48 of Great Falls, Virginia passed away on Saturday, December 15th. She is the beloved wife of Mike Smith and mother of two beautiful daughters, Kendall and Skylar. She is also survived by her mother and father, Mike and Donna Wells, and a brother, Jeff Wells. She is the daughter in law of Gaynell Smith and the late Ryland Smith. She is a sister in law to Crystal Hogge. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. Kristin has many friends who adored her and will forever miss her. Kristin was born in Nurnberg, Germany in 1970. Growing up in a military family, Kristin moved to different parts of the United States, and finally settled in Northern Virginia at the age of 11 in 1981. Kristin was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with family and friends. She also loved making memories through trips and special events. She treasured the times at her second home at the beach in Corolla, N.C., which will remain a special place to her family. She not only had a flair for life, but for decorating. She enjoyed hosting parties that always included a theme and the most delicious food. She was admired for the wisdom and advice she shared with others. Kristin’s family and her faith were very dear to her, and the way she lived her life was a testament to this. Her life was an inspiration to many and her memory will live on in the hearts of all of those who loved her.

Family will receive friends on Friday, December 21st at St. Luke Catholic Church, 7001 Georgetown Pike McLean, Virginia 22101. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m., followed by a 12:00 p.m. Memorial Service and Mass, and reception to follow. The online guestbook is available at www.moneyandking.com

  1. Dear family Please accept my heartfelt condolence during this difficult time. When words are hard to come by the scriptures from Gods word the Bible are always best. We have the promise that death will be gone forever- Isaiah 25:8 . Never will we again have to ever get used to living without our mother, aunt, cousin, sister or best friend. Again my deepest sympathies during this difficult time.
