Lt. Col William Bradley Wacker

After a brief illness, on January 27, 2019, “Brad” Wacker, our beloved husband and father passed away in his home, in Reston, Virginia. He spent his childhood with his Navy family (Capt. William J. Wacker “Bill”) travelling the continental U.S. and Japan. He came of age in Reston where he loved living in such a special place. After receiving his wings he entered the Air Force as a pilot. He soon became a flight instructor and evaluator. He then joined several B-52 squadrons, most notably as an Aircraft Commander in Minot, ND. He holds the meritorious service medal with two oak leaf clusters and the Air Force commendation medal with one bronze oak leaf cluster. After retiring from the Air Force, he had a distinguished career as a Safety Analyst with the Federal Aviation Administration. He is survived by his wife, Winslow (née Grant), sons Chris (wife Merrick), Brian (Jessi), and William. He is also survived by his sister Cheryl (Tim) Pickup and brother Tim Walker. His former wife and mother of his first two sons is Donna Vincent of San Antonio, Texas. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Anna and Easton, and many other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life services will be held at Washington Plaza Baptist Church on March 16,2019 at 2:00 p.m. Final interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date, to be determined.
