Patricia Pietraszek Murray

On Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 8:51 in the morning, Patricia Murray passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Born on June 4, 1941 in Chicago to the late John Pietraszek and Victoria Kulig Pietraszek, she was the youngest of five children (Alice, Delphine, Albin and Theodore were her siblings). She graduated from Mundelein College and then on her 25th birthday she met he very much loved husband, John Edward Murray who she married on December 27, 1968. The new family moved to Northern Virginia, first living in McLean before moving to Vienna, where they set their roots. It was there that they raised three children, John Joseph (married to Kristina Dugan), Margaret Victoria (married to Joseph Arpad Soos) and Michael Lawrence (married to Leigh Keller). She worked for many years at the Environmental Protection Agency before retiring in 1998. She is survived by her husband, three children and six grandchildren, Adelaide, Bridget and Dashiell. Jakob, Noah and Sbastian.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 31st at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 8601 Wolftrap Rd., Vienna, Va., followed by interment at Fairfax Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM at the church.
