Robert Charles Hall

On Wednesday, September 25, 2019, Bob lost his courageous fight against pancreatic cancer, passing away at his home in Dayton Beach, Florida. He was the beloved husband of Vicki P. Hall and devoted father of Robert J. (Robbie) Hall and Daniel J. (Joey) Hall. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Linda Griffin, and his brother, William (Jim) Hall and his wife, Carol. His father, James M. Hall and mother, Irene D. Hall, predeceased Bob and will surely welcome him into Heaven. Bob was a 1970 graduate of Langley High School in McLean, Virginia and was a member of the band, Incredible Fog. He served with pride and distinction with the United States Postal Service Headquarters beginning in 1991 through to his passing. Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I met Bob for the first time a few years ago and I remember how welcoming he was. His smile, his laugh and his warmth stood out to me. I am sad about his passing – when I saw him in March/April of this year, he was upbeat and positive and I thought cancer didn’t stand a chance. My thoughts and prayers go out to Vicki, their sons, Linda, Jim and the rest of the family.

  2. Bob you were a GREAT Man and will be truly missed. May you take you kind loving heart and skills to the heavens to once again be a Servant Leader!

  3. I am relatively new to the Postal Service – but working with Bob has been one of the highlights of my time. Always so kind, compassionate, and helpful – he will be sorely missed in our organization. Healing thoughts to the family their time of grief – we will all miss him greatly.

  4. In the short amount of time that I have been with the Postal Service, I have had both the pleasure and opportunity to work with Bob!!! Even though we worked in offices many miles apart, he was always available to provide guidance with anything I sent his way, which feels like a lot to me right now. Bob always treated everyone with total respect and kindness…..AND LAUGHTER!!! He was truly a ‘Candle in the Wind’. May his family find strength in knowing that he made a huge imprint on everyone that knew him, and that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

  5. Dear Vicki, Robbie and Joey, I am so sorry for your loss. Robert was simply one of the best, and I was blessed to work with him for many years at the USPS. He was the ultimate professional, added so much value to everything he did, and above all was always kind, caring and willing to help everyone. I read a friend wrote your Dad was a servant leader, I could not agree more. I loved seeing pictures and hearing about you – his marvelous family who he adored. He was also so creative.. not sure if you ever saw it, but here is a Shrek picture he made of our team at USPS for an event (well before all the new photo software and apps were available) and I have this and so many happy memories of him. He is the Donkey. RIP Dearest Robert…you will be missed by all lucky enough to know you and to be part of your life.

  6. Dearest Vicki, Robbie and Joey, We are very saddened to hear about the passing of your beloved Bob. We have many fond memories of being neighbors with you in Cherry Court: remembering the birth of Robbie and Joey; talking about train excursions; shoveling snow out of our adjoining parking spaces; and looking at the figurine of playful kittens you gave us, which sits with us in our den. We have thought of you numerous times throughout the years, always hoping we would meet again. May warm memories comfort you. God bless each of you and your family. Kathy and Bruce Ricker
