On Saturday, 27 June, 2020, Robert Eugene Waple, loving husband and father of four, passed away at the age of 90. Bob was born 14 June 1930 to Marie D. Waple (deceased) and Ralph E. Waple (deceased) of Fairfax. Bob is survived by Mary, his wife of 59 years; sons Brian (Cindy) and Jim (Rachel); four grandchildren Sean, Brendan, Audrey and Abigayle; and one great grandchild Dylan. Bob is preceded in death by his son Robert, daughter Whitney, and his three sisters Mary Anne, Betsy and Joan. Bob served honorably in the United States Coast Guard and worked professionally for King Wholesale, Inc. for 30 years. His outgoing personality and warm smile will be greatly missed. A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to your favorite charity.

Dear Mary and Family, I worked with Bob for 20 plus years at King Wholesale. As you know, he was a very dedicated and hard worker. He had a wonderful smile and was always helpful and kind to everyone. He had so many business and personal relationships with our customers with the Vienna Inn being number 1. Dear Mary and family, I don’t know if you remember me; my name is Sally Boyd Coleman and my parents were Wally and Rosalie. Some of my happiest childhood memories include you and Bobby. I’ll always remember how Bobby got me a record album of barroom songs for my 10th birthday because I loved to sing. He was such a happy, kind, and gentle person and my parents loved you both.
