  1. The Owners and Staff at the Money and King Funeral Home, wish to express our sincere sympathy to you. It is our hope that we may be able to make a difficult time more bearable. Please feel free to call us anytime as we are always available to you. Bob Gallagher Funeral Director

    • To the Mulligan family – My condolences. Rob was a wonderful colleague and good person. I benefitted from collaborating and learning from him on various work projects over the years. I am saddened by his passing. His talents, good humor and decency will be much missed. David Thomas

  2. Rob and I drove to Niagara Falls Canada together in 1977 or so when he visited. We had a flat on the way home and changed it in the pouring rain as I recall. Probably wasn’t his idea of a great international day trip but I really had a good time with him on what turned out to be a very long day. I still remember how calm and easy going he was as things got unpleasant and I’m sure that disposition must have served him well in life. My condolences to the entire Mulligan family on a terrible loss. Frank O’Connor

  3. Rob was a good colleague and boss, a great friend, and a better person and father. So sad to have such a good man gone too soon. Our prayers are with Lenka and their sons. Shaun Donnelly (USCIB colleague) and Kathryn Hauser

  4. Rob was a great friend and colleague in our DC international trade community – a real leader in helping us define and refine issues. I had known Rob for many years before we began our work together on the USCIB Trade and Investment Committee, but had the wonderful opportunity to get to know him better and on a more personal basis through that experience. We shared stories of our youthful adventures and misadventures in Europe, about our families and friends. A lot of laughter and comradery in those conversations. That opportunity to get to know the man better was a blessing for me – he was a relatively quiet but very thoughtful person who I admired greatly and will remember with a tear and a smile. “Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand” my friend. Rick Johnston

  5. The Mulligan Family: On behalf of one of the member USCIB companies Rob worked with, please allow me to express deep condolences. Rob led our discussions, helped build consensus on difficult issues, and advocated on our behalf. We are grateful for his leadership. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. And we will keep the spirit of Rob with us as we continue to work on issues near and dear to him in a professional context. Sean Mulvaney, Procter & Gamble

  6. In 2004 Rob hired me at the American Electronics Association. This was my first job in Washington, DC and I was new to the metropolitan area. Rob supported me both professionally and personally to ensure I was successful and comfortable in this new environment. Rob became a good friend as well as business colleague. Our sincere condolences to the entire Mulligan family. Ken Montgomery and Jeff Harvell

  7. When I left public service and joined the private sector, Rob was one of the people I looked to for guidance and mentorship. He was a great friend, leader, collaborator, and source of policy knowledge and history. We will miss him dearly in the trade policy community. Ed Brzytwa

  8. We at USCIB have been impressed with and inspired by the number and kinds of testimonials about Rob that have been received from so many different corners of the world, just as we have been so sad to have to say farewell to our dear colleague. He joined us in October 2010 as Senior Vice President, Washington and was promoted to head of policy and government affairs in 2013. He was a valuable contributor to our organization and senior management team with his broad Washington experience, knowledge of trade and investment policy, and sound judgement. I knew I could always count on him for constructive advice, support, and partnership—and to share a good laugh with from time to time. We shall miss him. Peter Robinson, President and CEO, USCIB

  9. Lenka and Family: Rob was a true friend who I share many memories with in our time in Prague together. I was fortunately to connect with him in May this year and reminisce about our time in Prague and get caught up a little about our families. He had mentioned to me about his illness and the outlook. For some reason, I sent him a text Sept 28th as we were having a Czech Dinner with a Czech Beer and when I didn’t hear beck I search his name and was sadden to hear that he had passed away. We will keep him and your family in our prayers. Paul & Martina Bonzagni
