Sharon Fairbanks Hoffman passed away on December 17, 2021 after a long, courageous battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

Sheri was born on September 24, 1953 to William and Joan (Regan) Fairbanks in Potsdam NY. Sheri graduated from Marymount University in Virginia with a degree as a registered nurse in 1974. In that same year, Sheri married Edward Hoffman. Edward and Sheri went on to have two sons, Sean and Matthew. Sheri was so proud of her boys.

Family was everything to Sheri. In the past few years, being a Mimi brought Sheri so much joy. She was so strong, kind, and generous. She was our rock and she will be terribly missed.

Sheri worked as a nurse and nursing home administrator for 47 years. She loved baking, skiing, biking, and vacations in Canada. She loved the beach, especially family trips and the yearly beach trip with her three beloved sisters. No one could pack a car or boat like she could.

Sheri lived for her family and enjoyed every day to the fullest with a positive attitude, even through her health issues. Sheri adored her grandchildren and was always up for Mimi Camp. She loved her pups Henry and Cooper who will miss her greatly.

Sheri is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Edward; son Sean (Ashley) with grandson Myles and new granddaughter Lola; son Matthew (Jamie) and granddaughter Madison, her mother Joan, sisters Kelly Guggolz, Susie Peterson, and Patty Mulloy (Jeff); and sisters-in-law Donna Fairbanks and Carol Jacunski. Sheri is also survived by her Aunt Sally Lilley and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was predeceased by her father William, brother Michael, brothers-in-law Richard Guggolz and Wayne Peterson, and uncle Sam Lilley.

We have no doubt Sheri is now wearing her wings in heaven.

A private Memorial Mass will be held for the family at St. Mark Catholic Church in Vienna, Va.

In lieu of flowers, please consider doing a good deed in her honor or donating to The Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Paul’s Home 476 Riddle Road, Cincinnati, OH 45220. https://www.littlesistersofthepoorcincinnati.org/
