The family of Travis Dale King are heartbroken to announce his passing. He peacefully entered into eternal rest, September 6, 2022. He was 71. Born in Pulaski County, Virginia. Travis was a proud, lifelong Virginian, living the majority of his adult life in Manassas. He was predeceased by his parents, Jesse and Lillian King and brothers, William and James King.

Travis is survived by his daughters, Amanda Kisner and husband Dustin, and granddaughter, Alaina; Brittany Clohan and husband Charles, and grandchildren Charlie Rae, Kirk, Kensington and Rylie all of Oakton, Virginia; his wife Gail King, of Manassas, Virginia; and sister Louise Ezzell of Draper, Virginia; additionally, several nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Travis was a devoted family man, husband, father, Pop Pop and the Pittsburgh Steelers #1 fan. He was a great outdoorsman who enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and traveling. He was a skilled artisan, who often drew realistic freehand pieces which were gifted to family and friends. Travis was a God-fearing man, always working with his hands and strived to live a life of service. He was involved in many church and community activities over the years, including supporting food pantries and always willing to help those in need.

Travis was a member of the Ironworkers Local 5 and employed at Pioneer Cladding & Glazing Systems, Maryland, for many years. Upon retirement, Travis found great pleasure in spending more time with his children, grandchildren and friends, traveling and being in his workshop creating unique art.

  1. I first met Travis working together at tidewater. We became fast friends. We had the same interest hunting,fishing,old cars just country people at heart. We had many laughs together one I remember he came into work with bruises and he was soar , I was like what the heck happened? He went into this story about getting up in the middle of the night and falling over ta ta his dog he hit the wall a table and fell on the floor we laughed so hard . We talked on the phone often. Once Travis retired we starting eat breakfast together once a month ..we met in the middle and had our breakfast at a diner in marshal va. He loved biscuits and gravey and had to have jelly . We talked about life for hours it was great . Rest in peace buddy I will miss our breakfast meetings ..your friend Mike Moore
