Trianne L. Freese died Tuesday, March 27th, 2019 at Tribute One, Loudon, Virginia.

She was born on November 5 th , 1933 to Samuel C. Lampkin and Ruth Morrison Lampkin in Norfolk,

Virginia.

Attended Granby High School, received a Bachelor of Arts from Longwood University and a Master’s of

Science-Education from George Mason University. Trianne married Commander Ralph F. Freese in

December, 1954. Trianne leaves three children Ralph F. Freese, Jr (Danielle), Timothy L. Freese (Laurie)

and Elizabeth Anne Freese (Craig Smith).

In addition, she leaves four grandchildren Marisa Freese, Ralph F. Freese III (Amanda) and their child

Amelia, Victoria Smith, and her namesake Trianne Smith.

She is also survived by her sister Gerrie Lampkin Phibbs (Joe) , her niece Llewellyn P. Ramsey (James),

and her nephew Christopher Lampkin (Gabriela).

Trianne was a dedicated Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and educator. Trianne enjoyed

sewing, knitting, throwing ornate parties, having lively intellectual conversations, and doubting on her

grandchildren. Trianne lived her life to the fullest, traveling the world. She was full of zest and her

presence will continue.

Please join Trianne’s family in celebrating her life. A visitation will take place Saturday, April 6th, from

5-7pm in the Chapel at Truro Church in Fairfax, VA. A service will be held Sunday, April 7th at 2:45pm in

the Main Sanctuary at Truro Church with a reception following. Please refrain from sending flowers.

  1. I was a customer at the sewing store in Vienna some years back and enjoyed visiting as well as expertise of Trianne. She spoke fondly of her daughter and I do remember the lovely eyes and smile and dignified presence. I’m sure she will be missed by family and friends .
