Wanda Rae (Gravens) Baddley, 81 of Oakton, VA was called home Feb 20, 2020. Devoted wife to Ben Baddley; loving Mom to Brenda Rae Baddley of Charlottesville and Brian (Kathleen) Baddley of Haymarket, VA; adoring Nana to grandson, Parker and granddaughter, Morgan Baddley; sister to Dan (Carol) Gravens of St. Louis, Aunt to Chris Gravens, David Gravens and Laura (Ken) Mueller and great nieces Anna and Clara Mueller and many loving cousins, Wanda will be missed by all.

Wanda was born August 12, 1938 to the late Charley and Georgia (Eubanks) Gravens of Covington, KY. She graduated from Dixie Heights High School in 1956; encouraged by her brother Dan, Wanda attended and graduated from the University of Kentucky. It was there, in the fall of 1956 that she would meet Ben Baddley while on a double date. Ben and Wanda were married April 29, 1961 and enjoyed a beautiful life together as an Air Force family, moving around the country and finally retiring and remaining in Northern Virginia.

Wanda worked for Fairfax County in the County Executive’s office for 27 years. She was an avid reader, loved antiques and enjoyed discovering her family heritage through genealogy. Wanda was a member of the Fairfax County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She was also a member of the bell choir at Christ Presbyterian Church for many years.

Family will receive friends and family at Money & King Funeral Home, Vienna, VA on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 4-7pm. Funeral Service will be at Christ Presbyterian Church Fairfax, VA on March 6, 2020 at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA).
