I met Brett while working at Flint Hill as we were beginning to build an outdoor learning program. As a staff member, one could hardly wish for a more enthusiastic, affable, and capable partner in our endeavors. Brett, along with his beloved scouts contributed enormously into making the courtyard a destination point for staff and students alike. HIs cheerful can do attitude moved many a project forward including the creation of a “Discovery Table” that students used for everything from potting plants to playing checkers. I still work for FCPS but in a much larger role. I will always think of Brett as that shining example who, through small and thoughtful actions, made large and lasting impacts. I will miss him.
