Hazel Thompson Day
(age 96)

Mrs. Day died on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at her home in McLean, VA. Mrs Day was born May 17, 1921 in Summerduck, VA. She was the daughter of Rosa Lee Thompson and Richard Wallace Thompson. For 68 years, she was the beloved wife of G. Temple Day. Her parents, husband, two sisters and a brother, all preceded her in death. As well as being a wonderful homemaker, she worked beside her husband as he built Day Construction Company of Virginia and was co-owner of the Kitchen Guild of DC and Voell Custom Kitchens of Arlington, VA. The Days were devoted life members of McLean Baptist Church. She was cherished, loved, and admired by many.

Mrs. Day is survived by a sister, Janice Ashley of Fredericksburg, VA; daughter Sharon D. Benza (David Maley) of Fairfax, VA; son, Dennis T. Day (Martha) of Alexandria, VA; daughter, Dolores D.
