Agnes Hill passed away peacefully at home in McLean, VA on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Agnes was born in NE Washington, DC to the late John and Margaret Ardeeser. Agnes worked 14 years in the education department of the AFL-CIO. In 1966 she married Ben Hill and together they raised their daughter Mary Beth Hill-Harmon. Later, Agnes worked part-time as a librarian and a school secretary, but was truly known for her love of American History and literature. Agnes is survived by her husband, Ben, daughter Mary Beth, son-in-law, David, grandson, Baden, granddaughter, Cecelia, and her sisters, Mary DeLeonibus and Elizabeth Hebb. Relatives and friends are invited to Agnes' Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Friday (today), August 30 from 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 6420 Linway Terrace, McLean, VA 22101 on Saturday, August, 31 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Falls Church, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Mission of Sisters of St Joseph, Mount St Joseph Covenant, 9701 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19118-2694 or the Franciscan Monastery Garden Guild, P.O. Box 29059, Washington, DC 20017.
