ALBERT M. NAVAS, COLONEL USAF (RETIRED) (AGE 88)
Of Great Falls, Virginia, on May 15, 2017 at home. A 1952 graduate of Virginia Military Institute, a 25-year career Air Force Officer, HR administrator for Arthur Anderson, and President of the American Metric Council. Preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Hunt Navas, and his grandson, Matthew Albert Slocomb. Survived by his four children, Kathleen Navas Hilbert (Joachim), Teresa Navas Slocomb (Stephen), Harvey Albert Navas (Teresa), and Virginia Navas Heine (Clint), as well as 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Great Falls, Virginia, on Monday, May 22 at 2 pm.
