Alexandra Lourdes Fresen, 56, of Annandale died peacefully following a brave battle with cancer, surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 26.
Alexandra was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, niece, cousin and friend who loved animals and nature, gardening and home improvement, outdoor adventures and travel, history and architecture, and enjoying time with her family, friends and pets. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and benefited from her compassion and kindness and her sense of fun.
Alexandra is survived by her adoring husband Cesar and a large network of loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her devoted mother, Ileana, and beloved father, Enrique.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 31 at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 8601 Wolftrap Rd. S.E. in Vienna, VA. Visitation will begin at 10 am followed by a funeral service at 11 and reception at 12 pm. Flowers may be sent to the church on Monday before 10AM.

We never finished a conversation that lasted 41 years. I thought we’d reach old age together.
