Alton Pride, Jr.
September 30, 1964 ~ February 28, 2020
Alton Pride Jr. was given the gift of life on September 30, 1964. Al, as he was known to the majority of us, was born in Baltimore Maryland. Al and Pamela Bailey were married on June 1, 1996. Al and Pamela were blessed with the gift of their cherished daughter, Breanna Pride. God called Al to his eternal rest on February 28, 2020.
Al attended the University of Maryland, graduating in 1986 after earning his Bachelor's Degree in Business and Management.
Al was presently employed with Freddie Mac as a customer and technology manager. He was well respected by his colleagues for his integrity and the quality of his work. Al’s career reflected the truest, highest expression of himself.
To know Al, was to know that he was passionate about all things sports related. In high school, he played Varsity Baseball and was a member of the Indoor Track team that captured the Baltimore County State Championship in his senior year. As an adult, Al also played on a highly competitive Ice Hockey team.
Al’s legacy will be carried on by his wife, Pamela Pride, Breanna; his daughter, Patricia Pride; his sister and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine and Alton Pride Sr.
Services will commence at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 7, at Money & King Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairfax Memorial Park and serving as pallbearers will be Joey Scherr, Charles Luessenhop, Darren Pride, Clay Pride, Mickey Aoyama, and Tom Smith.
The family will receive family and friends in a celebration of Al’s life on Friday, March 6, from 5 -8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Al, may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association. An organization that was near and dear to Al.

Al found reassurance in the following quote:
“May we never forget that in the sunshine of our lives, through the storm and after the rain - it is all with God- in all ways and forever.
ALL PRAISE TO GOD.”
- John Coltrane

Dear Family, I am so sorry for your loss and I pray that God covers everyone in his peace. I have worked with Al over many years at Freddie Mac and he was truly an example of what it meant to provide the best service to the customer. Al will be missed at Freddie along with his work caliber of excellence. May God bless you all; for we know heaven has been blessed with a new Angel, although too soon.

Al Pride was a fine gentleman. He was a friend, colleague and neighbor of the highest quality that will be sorely missed.
I was blessed to have had the pleasure of working with Al over the last 10 years. Always a gentleman, but also a kind soul who brought happiness and light to everyone who knew him. The world was a better place with Al in it, he will be missed.
I just went searching for my childhood buddy. I sadly found his obituary. He always had a passion for baseball. We played little league together. His mom was always so kind and dad was extremely dedicated to his family. The entire family gave me a template for family life that I did not have on my own. Thank you for the memories to all of them. Rest in peace.
