Andrea Lyons Shoemaker, age 86, of McLean, VA and originally of Lexington, MA died on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at her beach home on Chincoteague Island. Beloved wife of the late Robert F. Shoemaker; mother of Ann Shoemaker, Michael Shoemaker (Robin) and Linda Sanders (David); sister of Ruth "Cubby" Hickcox (Leigh) and the late John Lyons; grandmother of Jonathan, Jason, Hanna, Abby, Christina, Samuel, and Joseph. She is also survived by her devoted companion Peter Pulman and her sister-in-law Joan Lyons. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Luke Catholic Church, 7001 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA on Saturday, December 13 at 10 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979
