Anna Bess Leavens

Anna Bess Leavens passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, at her home in McLean Virginia in the company of her daughter Debbie and son Don.
Ann was born in Muskogee Oklahoma July 30, 1922, the daughter of Charles and Leone Ereckson Brock. She grew up in Edinburg Texas and later resided in McLean for over 66 years.
She was a devoted mother and wife, who put family above all else. She served on multiple PTA boards, helped to organize numerous fund raisers for The Langley School in McLean, and enjoyed bridge, gardening, and baking.
Ann was predeceased by her husband Donald C. Leavens and is survived by her children Deborah Leavens, MD and Donald Leavens of McLean, and Wendy Miller of Okinawa Japan, granddaughter Gwenn Miller Bursey, grandson Brent Miller, and great grandchildren Brookelynn and Jaxson Bursey.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. February 3, 2018 at Lewinsville Presbyterian Church in McLean Virginia followed by a home reception. The family requests that donations be made in Ann's name to Toys for Tot (www.toysfortots.org) in lieu of flowers.
