Of McLean, VA, died on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Virginia Hospital Center. Loving wife of the late Capt. William L. Siple, USN (Ret.), devoted mother of Roy Siple (Karen) and Lynne Glatthaar-Smith (Dr. Ken Smith). cherished grandmother of william Siple, Dr. Jessica Tyler (Dr. Ryan), Phillip Stephenson (Mindy), and Elizabeth Stephenson and 6 great-grandchildren, Sidney, Brendan, Owen, Nolan, Katherine and Paul.

We were so sorry to hear of Barbara’s passing. We always enjoyed visiting with her at the social gatherings around the neighborhood. She will be missed by all who knew her. Noel and Joan
I miss you so much Mom. I know you are in peace with Daddy. You are with me all day and evening. I wish you can see my house that you saved for me/where I have placed the cherished items from childhood. Also bless you for buying Willie for me. I miss telling you the trouble that he gets into but it only lasts a minute because then he gives me that Gold Retriever love- he will always be a special reminder of you.I am writing this because somehow it gives me comfort. You are healthy when I think about you with your beautiful pug nose. your wonderful smile and sense of humor Give Daddy,Kent,Uncle Ben my love & the special fur babies in my life. Please tell Murph to be there when the 3 goldens cross the bridge. I know you will be there waiting for me when it is my time. I was so blessed to have you as a mother. We had a very special mother-daugher relationship with the laughter we shared, the comfort and love you always gave me. Eternal Love always, Lynne
