My sincere condolences to the family. Barb and I were life long friends and I am so thankful that, thru social media, we were able to stay in touch. Barb, you never lost your sense of humor, your kindness, your love for others. May you rest in peace, my friend.
A candle was lit for the decedent.
My dear Aunt Barbara
I will always treasure my memories of Aunt Barbara. One of my favorites was when I met Aunt Barbara for the first time. I was five years old – we had just moved from D.C. to the country. She entered the kitchen and asked if I knew where Dewey was. I looked at her with all the bewilderment I could express and said I didn’t know anyone by that name. I thought about it for a minute and asked, Oh, are you looking for Unkie? And, yes –the same. I had no idea that Unkie had a first and a middle name. Who knew that grandaddy and grandma had given Unkie another name? In my family, we never called Dewey by his real name – until we met Barbara. She is and will always be a special lady, and I miss her very much.
I am signing with sincere condolences to Unkie, Christopher, and David.
Love you all very much – Teresa
