Bernadette K. Keady

September 30, 1933 ~ December 23, 2008
Bernadete "Bunny" Keady, 75, retired coordinator for the Office of OMS, Central Intelligence Agency, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Spring Arbor in Hickory, NC after a long battle with Alzheimer's and heart disease.
Mrs. Keady was born September 20, 1933 in Stamford, CT. She moved to Vienna, Virginia in 1970. Before her career with the CIA, she worked for Equifax Credit Corporation.
Her husband, Martin Joseph Keady, Sr. died in 1972.
Mrs. Keady was also preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph Joseph and Elizabeth Ann Svec, and a sister, Ann Svec D'Inzeo.
Mrs. Keady is survived by four children; sons, Martin Joseph Keady, Jr. and wife Amy of Springfield, VA, John Matthew Keady and wife Lisa of Reston, VA, and Brian Paul Keady and wife Christine of Vienna, VA; daughter, Diane Keady Albers and husband Mark of Hickory, NC; grandchildren, Brett Christian Albers of Asheville, NC, Lauren Elizabeth Albers of Hickory, NC, Shane William Keady of Springfield, VA, Michelle Ann Keady and Megan Elizabeth Keady of Vienna, VA; sister, Marylen Svec Hossan of Southington, CT; a brother Rudolph Svec of California; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and family in Hickory, NC on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Drum Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at a later date.
The family requests donations to Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.

I was sorry to hear of your passing Aunt Bunny, you will be missed. Everytime I see an owl I always think of you, thank you for making my childhood more fun and standing by me in my rough times. My thoughts are with your family.
