Goodby, Mom. From your daughter, Joy
My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Your mom was an amazing, strong woman. I will always remember the times I spent at your house when she babysat me and when Barbara and I became best friends. I remember your mom canning all the vegetables from the garden and her strawberry patch. I think we all spent many hours picking strawberries for her and eating our share as we went along! I know she will be missed, but you have wonderful memories to carry you through this difficult time.
Granny I’m so sorry but yet Im so glad you are free from this disease and this pain. I want you to know as I told you many times I love you and thank you for the times that we have had over my life…I can remember you teaching me to drive us going for a Pepsi at 7 eleven going to the Banks delivering Green Beans or Strawberries you where the Strawberry lady. Granny I wish I could hug you this is so hard I love you I’m not saying good bye cause I know your here with me!
Granny It’s coming time for ur Birthday! Theirs not a day goes by that I think of the times we had…I remember me sitting on the sidewalk outside of 1939 Horseshoe Dr and biting into a stck of butter, I dot know why that thought stays with me, or the time Barbara Jean had a white cat and she decided her name would be sugar and when she said sugar I went into the house and bought the sugar bowl out! I can see you in the garden picking strawberries, green beans, tomatoes, bringing to the front porch, tomatoes would line around the porch to continue to ripen up, sitting on porch string the green beans, oh granny, this world how can it end loving family and leaving family, never seeing and being with them again of how it hurts….I wish I new why I always had trouble getting close to family, staying close and in contact..I love you granny!
Laying here 2023 of April 25 just thinking hard and missing the heck out of you…Mom and dad are living with us now, mom has Parkinson and dad is 95. Granny I just miss ypu so much..I always love you,
Your granddaughter cheryl
