Bonnie Silver Ahearn
May 24, 1945 ~ December 14, 2017
Bonnie Ahearn (née Silver) passed away unexpectedly while vacationing on December 14, 2017 in Bridgetown, Barbados at the age of 72.
Bonnie is survived by her beloved husband, Brian of Vienna, VA; her son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Laura Ahearn; her sister and brother-in-law Roslyn and Robert Brody; her nephew Michael Brody; her niece Rebecca Levy; and her grandsons Landon and Tanner.
Bonnie was born on May 24, 1945 in New York, New York to Pearl and Leon Silver. She joined the United States Army in 1964 where she met her future husband, Brian. They married in 1968 and moved to Vienna the following year. Bonnie worked in several professional fields, however she spent most of her time as an assignor of some of the largest soccer tournaments in the metro DC area, Bonnie impacted the lives and promoted the advancement of referees from all over the country. For more than thirty years, Bonnie genuinely cared for the referees and the sport by placing referees in matches that would challenge and develop their abilities. She retired from the soccer community in 2014 to focus on traveling the Caribbean with Brian and spending more time with her grandsons.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bonnie’s visitation at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 West Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Friday, January 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. or 6 to 8 p.m. Interment services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

We are better people for having Bonnie in our lives. Too many fun times to recount. She will be dearly missed, but not forgotten.
